 04 November 2009 | The 16th meeting of the BSEC-URTA General Assembly was held in Geneva being hosted by the IRU’s Secretary General, Mr. Martin Marmy, with the participation of HE. Ambassador Leonidas Chrysantoupoulos, Secretary General of the BSEC Organization and Mrs. Viriginia Tanase, Economic Affairs Officer of UNECE Transport Division. The representatives of the above mentioned international organizations highly appreciated the contribution of the BSEC-URTA to their work and activities as well as to the progress achieved under the implementation of the MoU on Facilitation of Road Transport of Goods in the BSEC Region.
The BSEC-URTA elected its Vice Presidents for 2010: Mr. Tofig Nurullayev (ABADA) and Mr. Evgeny Moskvichev (ASMAP) and the Secretary General for 2010-2013, Mr. Haydar Ozkan. The Observer Status of Ingosstrakh ( Russia) and Medjunarodni Transport (Serbia) was renewed for the period 2010-2014 and Member Association Status was granted to UNTRR (Romania)
