Updated Information on Implementation of the BSEC Permit

21 December 2009 | During the 4th Meeting of the BSEC Steering Committee for Facilitation of Road Transport of Goods in the BSEC Region on 9th September 2009, a group of 7 interested BSEC Member States: Albania, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Turkey, decided that as of 1 January 2010 on an experimental basis will start using between them, a BSEC Transit Permit having the form of a single document to be printed and distributed to the parties by the BSEC Permanent International Secretariat in Istanbul.
On 17 December 2009 in Istanbul’s BSEC Headquarters took place an Informal Meeting of Experts from Participating BSEC Member States to the Pilot Project for Introduction of the BSEC Permit for Transit Road Transport. The Participants considered and endorsed the Draft Template and User Guide of the BSEC Transit Permit and agreed on a Timetable for the Implementation of the BSEC Permit.
