“30 Years of BSEC” under Moldovan Chairmanship-in-Office in BSEC

The Moldovan Chairmanship held the first official online meeting of its term in office with the “Coordination Meeting of the Moldovan BSEC Chairmanship-in-Office, with the Committee of Senior Officials, the BSEC Related Bodies, and BSEC PERMIS was held on 25 January 2022. BSEC-URTA Secretary General Mr. Mehmet Uylukcu took part in the meeting, where the main priorities of Moldovan Chairmanship-in-office (from 1 January until 30 June 2022) in BSEC were announced.

H.E. Mr. Vladimir Cuc, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Moldova presented the Moldovan Priorities under the motto “30 Years of BSEC” and stated that the Moldovan Chairmanship would focus on the following topics:

-Promoting cooperation in Environmental protection and Blue Economy, Transport, Trade and Connectivity, as well as Culture and Tourism
-Streamlining the project-oriented dimension of the Organization
-Further increasing the visibility and activities of the Organization

  • Enhancing cooperation between the BSEC and the Related Bodies, Observers, Sectoral Dialogue Partners, as well as other Regional and International Organizations, including further developing BSEC-EU interaction

BSEC-URTA sincerely welcomes that transportation will be one of the priorities of Moldovan chairmanship and the declaration of H.E. Mr. Vladimir CUC that the Chairmanship will render its assistance for further enlargement of the geographical coverage of the BSEC Permit system and extension of its usage by developing new technologies and regulations for increasing efficiency and security of transport, including the successful implementation of the e-Permit project.
